Dan qualified in 1999 from the Royal London Hospital and spent 8 years furthering his career in dentistry by developing more advanced skills at practices in the Isle of Wight and Reading. He has attended training courses in the UK and the USA where he has gained expertise in modern dental technology. He worked in a specialist practice in Manchester for 7 years before setting up his own practice in Formby.

Charlotte Holman Dental Technician

Charlotte has always looked on Dentistry and Dental technology as the career she wanted to follow from a fairly early age. This has come about partly because her Father is a CDT whom she has seen working for years and partly because Charlotte has always looked to go into a career helping and caring for people in some way.

Charlotte studied Dental Technology at the University of Wales Cardiff (UWIC) part-time where she qualified with a Distinction in 2013, during this time she also trained in one of the top commercial dental laboratory’s in the South West. Running alongside her Dental Technician studies Charlotte was also training in the practice management side of the business and as well as her building her dental technical skills she was also building experience in all aspects of practice and dental management. This was backed up with an additional part time course at Exeter University from where she graduated in 2013 with a Degree in Business Management with a ‘Distinction’ grade pass.

Charlotte is continuing her studies which she loves and has currently completed a course in Clinical Dental Technology through the KSS Deanery which is one of the most respected institutes in the UK for this type of course. Shortly she will be going through her full graduation at which time she will be given her title of Dip CDT RCS (Eng). She has also gained valuable training and experience working alongside and with her Father who has been a fully trained Clinical Dental Technician for many years and the skills and knowledge she gained from this has been invaluable.

Charlotte has a particular interest in implant and cosmetic dentistry and feels that this is an area of dentistry which needs expanding and bringing to more and more people so the benefits of implantology becomes the norm rather than the exception. She has begun working with one of the country’s top implantologists all over the UK and her knowledge and experience in this area is expanding exponentially. Her experience working alongside these highly trained and experienced dental surgeons is invaluable. In most of these implant cases she works alongside and with one of the most respected and experienced laboratories in the UK whom deal with the premier implant system, the Nobel Biocare ‘All on Four’ system. Charlotte’s increasing experience with this system and her expanding knowledge around all aspects of this area of implantology has made her an valuable addition to the team.

Charlottes’ approachable and welcoming patient manner helps patients to feel comfortable in the dental environment and she takes great satisfaction in ensuring that her patients feel at ease and their wants and needs always come first, this is an aspect of her treatment of patients that she feels is one of her greatest assets. In this respect Charlotte always ensures that her appointment times are long enough to allow the patient the opportunity to fully discuss their needs, ensure that all the treatment options are discussed any questions the patient may have are answered thoroughly and most importantly that the patient is happy.

Sian Jones Dentist

Originally from Cardiff, Dr Sian Jones gained her dental qualification in 2002 from the University of Liverpool. When she first moved back to Wales she worked as an associate at Fairlight Dental Practice before she became their principal dentist in 2007. Sian enjoys working in every aspect of dentistry but has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry. She constantly undertakes postgraduate training in order to deliver the most modern techniques available to her patients. Her training includes advanced cosmetic training at the Perfect Smile Academy and implant training with dentists from Harley Street.
